A family walk through the forest. Not particularly difficult, with a well-maintained and signposted path.

Highlights of the route: the viewpoints and picnic areas at the lookout points, two information boards at the Pointe du Cuchet (1,679 m), exceptional panoramic views of Mont Blanc, the Vanoise, etc.,
A themed trail focusing on mountain wildlife and tree species, featuring a question-and-answer game for children.

Route:
1) From the car park, take the signposted ‘Le Cuchet’ trail, which climbs up and overlooks the Coche dam.
2) Continue along the trail, which leads gently through the heart of the forest.
3) Once you’ve crossed the forest, you’ll reach the Lachat plateau; take a break here – it’s an ideal playground for children and a pleasant rest area with a barbecue available.
4) Cross the entire plateau and continue the walk to the left until you reach the summit of Le Cuchet (1,679 m above sea level). The views from here are exceptional: Mont Blanc, the Vanoise massif… There are two orientation boards at the summit.
5) Head back down the path to reach the large signpost.
6) At the junction, turn left and take the path to the viewpoints (La Pierre de l’Aigle and Les Ravières), where two lovely picnic areas await you.

7) Continue along the path until you reach the junction with the road.
8) Turn left and head back up to the dam to collect your car. Children love the first section of the trail and take great pleasure in playing the question-and-answer game on the theme of flora and fauna!

At the car park, an information board provides details about the dam and its features. And that brings us full circle!
