Orsatus Ski Racing - Top-level alpine skiing

A 4-season base camp, Brides-les-Bains takes sports holidays to the summits!

The Orsatus Ski Racing association has been recognised as a partner by the French Ski Federation under an agreement since 2015. It has 12 trainers all year round (15 in winter) who are responsible for training and preparing courses, including the 2 sports directors, who have lived in Brides since they were teenagers and are brothers Alexandre and Jean-Baptiste Fourrat.

Objectives: to offer a second chance to passionate young skiers who are not selected for their regional teams and to help established athletes move up the ranks, as well as to support small federations that are not structured for athletes at this level of skiing.

Brides-les-Bains: the ideal base camp for Orsatus

Brides-les-Bains, the ideal base camp for Orsatus: their 2 sports directors, Alexandre and Jean-Baptiste Fourrat, chose Brides-les-Bains, their home town where they have lived for over 20 years, because the spa resort is the gateway to the 3 Valleys, the largest ski area in the world.

This geographical location means they can train in 3 resorts from the ski village: Méribel, which can be reached in 25 minutes by the Olympe cable car, Courchevel or Pralognan la Vanoise, depending on the variation in slopes required. The village is easily accessible by public transport: less than 10 minutes from Moutiers bus station, 1h30 from Geneva and Lyon airports, giving it a strategic location for accessing all the international races in Europe during the winter.

Team Parallel World Cup Final

In winter 2023, the team experienced a special moment with the World Championships at home, Brides-les-Bains being the host village, the Orsatus team was represented by 10 athletes from 8 different nations:

The athletes were proud to represent their home country to the world in their beloved village of Brides-Les-Bains.

The team and the ski village experienced an intense moment during the Parallel World Cup team final, when Belgium failed to qualify thanks to the feat of Orsatus Kim Vanreusel, 3rd fastest time in the women’s competition.

The whole of Brides-les-Bains came out to support their “Belgian but local” athlete, hoping to see her beat all the odds!

Only sport can provide such sensations.
