Similar to a hiking trail along a cliff-face, Via-Ferrata are totally safe thanks to specially adapted, pre-installed equipment.
Providing access to some magnificent viewing points, a number of "Ferrata" are located less than half an hour's drive from Brides-les-Bains. (Courchevel, Pralognan…)
The more adventurous among you can also have a go at an introductory mountain climbing session with local professionals and high mountain guides.

The Vanoise Massif has proven especially well-suited to exploring the high mountain area, even offering "glacier-hiking".
Not requiring much technical know-how, it's equally suitable for beginners, experienced hikers or experts (capable of walking between 6 and 8 hours per day).
Setting off from Pralognan (around twenty kilometres from Brides-les-Bains), you can also gaze out on some stunning panoramic views and discover all the riches of the natural mountain heritage.

If cycling is your passion, you're sure to love peddling along mountain roads, which offer a geographical relief and landscape unlike any other.

Brides-les-Bains is the perfect departure point for setting off to conquer the legendary Alpine mountain passes (La Loze, La Madeleine, L’Iseran, Le Cormet de Roselend etc…)
Free-wheeling!
In Méribel, the ski area turns into a real Bike Park in summer, the perfect playground for sporty mountain bikers.
A more unusual version of mountain biking is also available in the form of Déval’Biking, in which you hurtle down the mountain on a downhill scooter!
Several kilometres of downhill trails and dedicated itineraries for these activities are easily accessible thanks to the ski lifts.
